In 1983, Electrotech, Inc. was founded by Tom & Beryl Levasseur to serve the electrical assembly needs of industrial customers in New England. Beryl had the experience and connections into the industry, Tom had the business managerial experinece, and they co-founded the business in Rockland Maine.
They built the first Electrotech assemblies in a spare room in their home, and soon moved to larger facilities in the following years, moving between a former power company facility, a former grocery store, until it eventually settled into it's current facilities, always within the city of Rockland.
Our reputation with the buyers, engineers, and project managers of our customers fueled our growth, as word of mouth was our best form of advertising. This has led us to serve customers in many differing industries including manufacturers of industrial electronics, consumer electronics, medical equipment, automotive equipment, retail displays, environmental heating systems, and more.
We've worked with customers of many sizes from Fortune 500 corporations looking to outsource down to one man operations that want to focus on sales and product development. This has led to Electrotech's customer base stretch out beyond New England to manufacturers throughout the U.S., plus a few international customers.
Today, Shawn Levasseur and Angela Caverly, Tom & Beryl's children who grew up with the business, now run it.
